Day Three: European Tour

 
Second day in Paris.  This guy is keeping an eye on us in our apartment.  I like to call him Sigmund.
 
Lunch on the Left Bank..
 
Along the Seine...
 
Shopping on Champs Elysee...
 
Hanging onto my Euros...
 
Triumphed over the 284 steps to the top of l'arc de triomphe...
 
Visited Gustave Eiffel at the top of the Eiffel Tower.
 
View from the top of the Eiffel Tower.  Buildings so white in this city.
 
Parisien lawnmower in The Tuileries Gardens.
 
Bought postcards for Julia ...
 
And Emma.......reflecting their respective interests...
 
Visited Vincent and others at Musee D'Orsay.
 
Had a cup of tea at Musee d'Orsay.
Gauze Teabag!!!  Tea brand was "St. James!".  Significance.

    1. Well, I think it is a sign that I am going on the Camino Santiago (Way of St.James) and I am getting little "signs" about St.James. Don't you, Mary?

    Thanks for the pics. Yes, the teabag was a sign.
    It's too late now, but you were very near Rue St. Jacques which was the traditional point of departure for pilgrims leaving Paris in the direction of Santiago! There is also a Tour St Jacques on the right bank which is a remnant of a church destroyed during the revolution.
