Backpack packed. 15 pounds, give or take. A lot of pharmaceuticals.
My "other"passport.
I am worried about not taking a book. Or yarn. I told Emma my reading and knitting addictions are akin to a smoking addiction. Her solution? Start smoking. It would be lighter. She is such a brilliant problem-solver!
We are allowed to take this book, of course. It weighs about 10 pounds. Some people tear the "used" pages out as they journey along.
And, of course, I will have my "jotter", with one of my mentors on the cover.
Rhubarb Money. Rhubarb Euros. Do they have rhubarb in Spain???
Kath and I have learned and laughed SO MUCH about packing and the stuff you need vs. want on a trip.... We have way too much crap. Figure it is our generations new need to have stuff... we know we don't need it but bring it anyways. Nice to see how compact you are... sure that you will start shedding some of it as the trip progresses. Don't you think?
ReplyDeleteYes, the knitting might have to go.
