Burgos Cathedral this morning.
We left Burgos at 7:30 this morning and arrived at our destination 9 hours and 32 kms. later. It was along, hot day!
Most of the day was spent walking the "meseta" which is open grassland--prairie-like. No shade , habitation,water....not many hills.
Lonely tree on the meseta.
There are MANY windmillls in Spain. Unfortunately, this is not a good picture.
Finally arrived at Hontanas for a hot shower and a cold beer!
Nice albergue. The reservations I made in broken Spanish actually worked. Good thing or there would have been tears and gnashing of teeth!
The price of albergues varies . This one is cheap! . ....and very nice.
Tonight we took a break from the "Pilgrims'" meal and had pizza in the bar.
Sunset in Hontanas.
Team Canada eating pizza on the balcony.
We have now covered 323 kms in 14 days. A few more to go!!
